Be Grateful and Give Back

Today I was asked to blog about how I see things in the City of Waltham, Massachusetts.
Of course, I said yes.  What a great honor and a great chance - all things small and tall can shine here.

On this gorgeous real spring day - I am borrowing from my neighbor who said "be more grateful for what you have." There are many organizations in Waltham who need time, stuff, or money.  In this time of spring renewal - clean out your junk and donate it, give some time to a local charity, or go out to eat on a night that benefits a non-profit (I love when these fall on my night to eat!)  This weekend alone you can:
- Fri Apr 29 5p-730p Ciao Down with GWArc and eat Italian at the Doubletree for GWArc. $15/$9srs/kids
  • Website: http://www.gwarc.org

  • - Fri Apr 29 7p-1130p  7th Annual Waltham Land Trust Blues Jam at the Paine Estate  $50 each
    http://walthamlandtrust.org/calendar-events/7th-annual-green-space-blues-jam/?searchterm=None
    - Sat Apr 30 10a-5p Gore Estates 24th Annual Sheepshearing Festival  $15 12 + up (under 12 free)
    http://www.goreplace.org/sheepshearing.htm
    -  Sat Apr 30th 730p-1130p VFW 2152 on Felton Street Waltham Karaoke
**This is a SMOKING event **  There is no entry fee to sing - donations accepted for roof fund

If you are already doing all you can - thank you!  If you have some time - volunteer, donate, give.

Also, get your Watch City Discount card at Marcou Jewelers, the Tea Leaf, Chamber of Commerce and SHOP local.  Keep these businesses is business - what goes around, comes around!
